    Very insightful article. Thanks for sharing this! I’ve been curious about Athleta and now I’ve learned so much about it. We don’t have Athleta in Singapore but it has found its ways here slowly but surely. I hope to see Athleta’s expansion go beyond the USA one day – like Lululemon. Athleta’s belief in sustainability is very exemplary for other fashion brands.

    “Power of the she” BULL$%!#, WOMEN WHO WORK FOR THIS RETAILER CONTINUALLY ABUSED BY MANAGEMENT, absolutely one of the worse company lifestyles imaginable Stay away from this brand! (Edited for profanity.)

      Sorry to hear you had a bad experience working for athleta. I worked there years ago and it was absolutely the best place to work for. It also depends on what location and state you work in. My location was ver y enthusiastic in getting people involved in in store classes. I moved to another state and they had no interested and enthusiasm in it. The culture has changed tremendously and it’s so different from store to store.

    As a marketing creative team member at Athleta during its rebrand in 2011, I can tell you that the campaign, “Power to the She,” started then, not in 2016. Granted, it was altered to drop the “the” to become “Power to She,” but the tag line’s foundation and genesis began half a decade before.
